Around a poker table, you will encounter opponents who will say to you that you should fold meaning that they want you to call or really they want you to fold. Statements like this though should be ignored when the information available is just not enough for you to act on. The best thing to do is ignore what your opponents say when you are in doubt.
Do not let the statements of the other poker players affect your decision. If you consider what your opponents say and use it with your cards, then you were clearly manipulated. Over time, you might able to come up with statements which can effect other players and make them call or follow your lead. The natural way is not to follow you so eventually you will be able to get more calls.
You do not even have to think about what your opponents say. If you think deep about their statements or try to solve what they really mean, then they have succeeded in manipulating you.
Remember too that you can use their words against these players. Here is a scenario. You will have opponents that talk about their hands or talk about your hands. You will notice that these people will not say anything about the hands that can beat their cards. If they feel that you have monster aces, and of course they cannot overpower, they will not mention it or shut up and just pray that you fold. If you hear them talking about your aces, they most likely can beat you.
If the other player is waiting for you to react after a big bet and then mentions hands along the way, he most likely can beat all the hands that he mentioned. Of course there will be exceptions but this is among the consistent verbal tells that you can find at poker tables.
Remember, ignore what they say when in doubt. Do not try to decode what they say and not allow them to manipulate your game.

Annie Duke does make a pretty strong all-in here, but I don’t blame her considering the way the Poker After Dark format is… I hate Kristy Gazes, she’s a donkey for sure!
Fact 1: Sam Farha was steaming at this point of the game.
Fact 2: Jamie Gold looked weak as usual.
Fact 3: I love Sam Farha.
Jamie Gold: “Sammy that was my move.”
Sam Farha: “Okay than I call.”
BAD FREAKING BEAT, PHIL “CashDonk” HELLMUTH IS A LUCKBOX.
Gotta love Chris Ferguson showing he’s not just a rich grindernit. Okay, it looks a little bit gay – but when the hot babe gives him a taste, he sounds masculine and powerful again. NUFF RESPECT JEZUS!
Blind stealing refers to an attempt of a late player on the table to win the blind by raised before the flop. During the game, there will be two scenarios. You can steal blinds from other players or other players will be getting yours.
How you will react to the kind of scenario you have depends if you are playing in a poker tournament or battling it out in a cash game.
Blind stealing is most potent when you are playing in tournaments. You cannot wait for excellent cards when you have a very short stack and you want to regain some chips. Blind stealing gives you the opportunity to regain some position.
It may not be that beneficial though during the early parts of the tournament since the blinds are pretty low. It is not worth fighting for and most likely the opponents will just raises since their chips are still comparatively higher.
Blind stealing is not that profitable during cash games. The blinds are relatively small compared to your stack. It will be best for you to stick with good hands and do not risk your chips too much when you don’t have cards worth playing.
Good thing Greg Raymer comes back to win the main event in ’04 – because this hurts….
Table poker has been one of mainstay of the gambling industry and came into business as early as 1800’s when first clay chips were introduced. Online poker on the other hand has been a relatively new affair and has found many keen followers who regularly indulge in online poker from their homes and work places.
The strategies and moves in online poker are almost similar to that of a table poker but there is still margin for differences between these two. The major difference being that in online poker the players are not able to see each other and only know the login name of the players with whom they play.
While in table poker, there is an added advantage of players being able to see each other and notice the signage used by each other. The players can easily make out the moves of the players based on their body language and gestures, which is not possible in case of online poker.
Table poker can be played at only one table while a player in online poker can play at different tables simultaneously. Another advantage that the online poker has is the convenience and ease of operation. It can be accessed 24/7 hours a day and thus has become one of the favorite online games.
SO freaking sick… Mike can never ever get lucky, can he? Allen Cunningham obviously doesn’t make a huge mistake here, he’s just supposed to double up Mike Matusow in this hand, that’s all.
